Are You “Just Over Broke”?
By Eileen Hebert
By anyone’s standards just over broke is not a pleasant place to
be. If you are wondering what I’m referring to it’s simple. For most individuals working a j-o-b we are just over broke.
That’s what j – o – b stands for.
A regular 9 – 5 job generally pays just enough to keep us “above
water”. If we are very careful with our spending habits we may find that we are able to afford
small luxuries but there is a hefty price tag attached. That price tag does not necessarily
involve a dollar sign, instead it may revolve around the monopolization of one’s time….or it could be the requirement of working according to
standards set by others.
Either way, most jobs do not provide enough growth potential and excitement to
keep an individual motivated long-term. After reaching a plateau in one’s career growth many individuals lose at least some of the passion and
drive that was initially felt. It’s difficult to patiently wait while struggling for salary
increases, position advancements and job status.
Many individuals come to the realization that there must be more to life than
this. And with that realization often comes the decision to leave the 9 – 5 rat
race. The pursuit of a career that will not only provide ample opportunity for wealth
building, but perhaps even more importantly, a career that will provide a flexible work schedule often becomes a priority.
The next step is determining what career can provide such
benefits. Most people don’t have to travel far from home to find what they are looking
for. As a matter of fact, most find that they aren’t required to leave their home at
all. After careful consideration it seems that many people come up with the obvious choice –
that of a home-based business.
By developing a home business one has the opportunity to schedule their own time
and the growth possibilities are endless. That of course means income potentials have no
boundaries either.
The business can be created around something that the owner loves. The owner will then be doing something enjoyable and getting paid for it. The schedule can be built around the hours that suit the owner.
As a business grows the owner can expect his/her salary to grow as well. The sky is the
limit!
A business owner can go from “just over broke” to wealthy in a matter of a year
or so. With an unlimited income potential and a flexible schedule one will feel less stressed and
happier which ultimately results in better health. With added income, less stress, happiness and
improved health one’s life is greatly enriched.
