Balance Your Work And Life
By Eileen Hebert

At 6:30am the alarm clock sounds and you jump to your feet.  Immediately you run for the shower, then throw on some clothes, brush your hair and teeth, as you check the clock you realize there’s no time for breakfast so out the door you go.  You start the car only to notice that you need to put gas in it which means you will be at least five minutes late for work, but that’s okay because your boss is lenient and doesn’t complain unless it’s over seven minutes.  After you get the gasoline you apply your make-up as you complete your journey to work.   You pull into the parking lot and your hair is dry enough to pull back into a ponytail.  Wow, you’re ready for another day of work!  But as you begin to exit your car you’re feeling tired.

You greet each co-worker you pass along the way as you trek to your office.  Once there you begin the daily grind.  You work diligently until lunch time.  During lunch you run to make that car payment that will be late if it’s not paid today and you grab a sandwich to take back to your office.   At the end of the day you tidy things up and leave.

Before going home you stop at the grocery since you know there’s nothing there to eat.  When you arrive you of course have groceries to put away….but before you can do that the phone rings and at the same time your dog wants to go out.  You cut the call short, take the dog for a quick walk and return home.  It is now 6pm.  You are hungry and tired.  You decide to eat a bowl of cereal instead of cooking.

You look around the house and realize that you need to do some laundry if you are going to wear clean clothes to work the next day.  As you begin laundry you note that you are running out of laundry supplies – add that to tomorrow’s to do list.

It’s 9pm.  You now have clean clothes to wear tomorrow, there is gas in the car and you have eaten a bowl of cereal for supper.  You are ready for bed.

At 6:30am the alarm sounds and you jump to your feet.  Immediately you run for the shower, then throw on some clothes, brush your hair and teeth, as you check the clock you realize there’s no time for breakfast so out the door you go.

Does this sound familiar?  Wouldn’t you love to have more control over your life?  It is possible.  Consider starting your own business – a home business.  You would set your own hours based around your priorities.  The only person you would answer to is you.  Your business attire could be your pajamas.  You could work with your dog by your side.  You would save money on the wear and tear of your car and gasoline use would be minimal.

What are you waiting for?  Take control of your life.  Balance your work and your life now!

Eileen,
I really enjoyed our session. All the ideas you had for me will defiantly help my business grow and establish me as an expert in my field. You have really encouraged me and inspired me to be creative and to think of so many ways I can generate more business. I have already used one of the ideas you gave me and am working on so many more. This past holiday weekend we had the best week at the store since it has opened and I know it is a direct cause of applying what we discussed.  I would definitely encourage anyone who needs some great advice and direction to work with you.  Please use my testimonial to encourage others. Thank you for your help.

Dear Eileen,
More was gained from my 90 minute consultation than from years of wading and wandering through the available information attempting to find a plan.  I felt understood as a unique individual.  The information and ideas learned were both inspiring and practical regarding opportunities I'd already wondered about plus many more I'd never considered.  There is clarity in the immediate steps I'm now taking doing things that I enjoy plus I learned of many resources I hadn't known existed to look into during the coming weeks and months.  Now, I have the beginnings of a flexible, workable plan and the awareness that I really can create the life I want to live and have the means to support that life.

Hi Eileen,
What a great idea! It's fresh and new and definitely has a lot of potential. I've never heard of anyone doing anything like that. And my husband could help me with the business cards as we have a computer program for that. Yes, I would definitely have to get a portfolio put together. Hmmm......there are a lot of possibilities with this idea. Thanks so much for the suggestion. I will definitely think about it. :-)
